It works very fine
You're paying only 30dls for this, it does do what should do: "trigger a flash in manual mode", I have this with two receivers and works very fine, I'm using a SB-600 and a SB-27 nikon flashes also a vivitar 285hv, and they work good. I'm not a pro, if you're a professional photographer you should buy professional equipment. 2010-02-25

Intermittent, low quality
2 stars because they do work... for a while. They will allow you to take your first step in off camera flash. However they are not reliable so if your photos are time critical, like a wedding etc. don't buy these. You will never use these if a client is paying you money, they can't be relied upon. Both sets I bought have since stopped working. One set died rather quickly. I've heard other people over at the strobist forums love them and they plod on for years. That was not my experience.
I bought 2 sets of these before investing in Pocket Wizards. PW's were the only choice at the time. Now there are Radio Poppers (I've not used them but I hear they are good) and while they cost twice the price, they will last more than twice as long. I'm tied to the PW system which is fine. They are pricey but awesome.
If you've only got $30 to spend and you really want to experiment with off camera flash than get these. Otherwise save your pennies get something more reliable.

Saved day for Blinker
I love using the Nikon lighting system with multiple SB800 Flashes. However, I had a shoot with a person that couldn't keep her eyes open. It didn't matter what I tried she would blink. Trying to come up with a solution I remembered I had purchased the wireless flash controller. By using it, I eliminated the pre-flash used to control the remote units and solved my problem. 2010-01-24

Pleased with the trigger.
Maybe my expectation is too low, but thought the OP-4C trigger was built fine... for the money. I initially had a hard time getting it to work due to my lack of knowledge in my flash, which is a Sigma EF-500 DG SUPER. No issues once I figured out how to set the darn thing in manual/SLV mode.
I'm pleased with the product, triggers the flash with no issues. Although I was experiencing a very slight delay and I think it's just how I have the camera set vs. the flash. I didn't have enough time to fiddle, but for the most part, shutter and flash are synchronized.
Happy with my purchase.
Thanks!

Absolutely happy for what it is!!!!
First off let me start by saying this product does exactly what it says. If u are like me and just need something to trigger your flash or flashes wireless, look no further. I refuse to pay 250 dollars for something that in my opinion just shouldnt cost that much. Im tired of buying items that do the exact same thing as this one, and just because it says "Canon" or "nikon" or "whatever brand" on them, they cost hundreds of dollars. This product costs 30 dollars and works. Thats all i care about. It has a really nice reach 40+ feet and fires every time. The build quality is just not there. But hey, for 30 Buks if it works for 1 year, i got my moneys worth. The people that gave this great product a bad review, forgot they paid 30 dollars for it, or got it as a present. Im using this with a 5D Mark ii, and has met, and exceeded all my expectations. If your like me and need a flash trigger, and dont want to get ripped off, buy this rite now. You wont regret it!!!!! 2010-01-13
