I bought this exact product back in Aug 2008 for $50. The build is good and strong and in summary this is still a deal for under $70. However, consider the following before you buy:

1. The magnification or wide angle you get depends on your sensor size: type 1/3" and smaller will give you 2x magnification, while larger types will give you less (my sensor is type 1/1.72" and I got 1.26x magnification - better than nothing :-))

2. Again based on sensor size your wide angle might not be so wide at my sensor size ~ 1/1.7" instead of 0.45x I got 0.71x - still its better than nothing, moved my camera wide from 35mm equiv. to 25mm equiv.)

3. Don't tell the camera that the lens is on, if your camera lists a converter menu items; that is for your manufacturer's converter lens.

4. As with all converter lens even the most expensive ones, these lens may block your optical viewer and focus beam.

5. Get a photo editor like photoshop to remove the chromatic aberrations created at the extreme perimeter (especially for the wide angle) of the lens.

Again this is a deal for the price as there is only so much you can do with lens that have a smaller number of lens elements that the more expensive brands.
