You can buy this same camera from Wal-Mart for no more than $85. I did. It's a good camera. I've had it for 5 months.

i got the a470 5 years ago it go stollen three year ago and could not find another one to replace it till now i have had several camras and hated half of them i through away because i didnt like them i just now got another A470 i i would recomend it to anyone thanks alot

This is only my second digital camera. The first was so confusing (very small icons and an over 60 attitude about learning new things didn't help). I ended up giving it to my son. I decided to try once more and I'm glad I chose the Canon PowerShot A470. The pictures are clear and the display is big enough to see well. After two months I'm still using the same batteries. I was able to transfer prints to my computer for printing with no trouble. The only concern I have is that I may at some time want a more powerful zoom. Don't forget to purchase a memory card when you buy the camera. For a first camera this one's great. I would highly recommend this for kids and tech-resistant seniors.

WHEN I BOUGHT THIS CAMERA I KNEW IT WAS USED SLIGHTLY AND AFTER IT ARRIVED I DID NOT SEE ANY USE INSTRUCTION (MANUAL)BOOKLET WITH IT I TRIED TO USE MY EXPERIENCE WITH A DIGITAL CAMERA I HAD WHICH IS SONY WAS TOTALY DIFERENT, I CALLED THE SELLER AND LEFT A MESSAGE AND HE OR SHE DID NOT RETURN MY CALL, I WISH THEY WOULD HAVE SENT THE INSTRUCTION WITH IT BUT I AM STILL TRYING TO LEARN ABOUT IT,MY ADVISE TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO BUY USED ELECTRONIC MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR USER MANUAL, IT WILL HELP AND SAVE YOU TIME AND HEADACH. On the 2nd day of my 5 month long trip to Mexico my Canon Xti failed to function. I needed a camera! I am in a small town, a 9 hour bus ride from a city. The best camera I could find was a Canon Powershot A470. I bought it. Four days later I got the "lens error restart camera" message and got it repeatedly. So, I'll be without camera for the next four weeks. When I do get to the city the new camera I will be buying will not be a Canon.
