I have had no problems with this battery. Downgraded to firmware 1.1 first and it works great. Battery life is equal or maybe even better than the Panasonic battery (I haven't actually counted the shots), but it seems to last as long. I would definitely recommend this battery over the more expensive Panasonic.

I was in a hurry to buy a spare battery for a Panasonic ZS-5 before a vacation trip. Price was right, and they could ship quickly, so I thought I'd take a risk on their having fixed compatibility problems. Bad call! I put the battery into the camera. It worked fine for a few seconds, then came the dreaded "Battery Cannot Be Used in This Camera" message.

Maximal Power's claim of compatibility with new Panasonic software is clearly incorrect. Amazon shouldn't allow it.

This battery was purchased about a month ago when I purchased a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1 10MP Digital Camera. It is my back up battery. It charged properly with the charger supplied with the camera. It functioned with no problems when it was installed in the camera. It has not run through its full cycle yet but appears to have about the same charge life as the Panasonic battery supplied with the camera.

I bought several of these on Amazon for my then-new Lumix ZR1. What I received were all actually labeled "POWER2000 FOR PANASONIC DMW-BCG10 3.7V 1200mAh(Li-Ion)". I use them interchangeably with the genuine Panasonic Lumix DMW-BCG10PP which came with my ZR1.

What can I say, other than:
1. It costs a fraction of the Panasonic battery.
2. It fits and works perfectly in the ZR1 exactly like the Panasonic.
3. It lasts at least as long as the Panasonic.
4. It charges just fine in the original Panasonic charger, to the exact same voltage as the Panasonic (measured on a digital voltmeter to the nearest 0.01V)
5. I've used several of them heavily for many months, and they are all perfectly fine after many charge/discharge cycles.
6. I think I'll sell my genuine Lumix battery online for a premium, effectively reducing my cost of the camera.
7. It came with a really great battery holder which takes up essentially zero space yet holds it securely and protects the terminals from shorting against your keys/etc if you carelessly put it in your pocket. It's a BETTER battery holder than anything I've seen before.
8. I'm a very happy camper with this purchase.

Again, just remember that this review is for the Power2000 which I received when I had ordered a differently-named Maximal Power battery on Amazon.

I ordered this battery for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3. It performs flawlessly. There are no compatibility problems whatsoever. After having used this battery for 3 months (on an almost daily basis), I can honestly say that it performs significantly better than the Panasonic battery that came with the camera. I don't have to charge it nearly as often as I do the Panasonic.
