Canon Speedlite 270EX Flash for Canon Digital SLR Cameras: Customer Reviews & Product Details

Small, cute and does a good job. I use it with my Canon 5D Mark 2. I am not a "pro". For family pictures, this speedlite serves all my need. Although the specs says don't use it in wider than 24mm. I found it work pretty well with my Canon EF 17-40mm L at 17mm. My Canon 5D Mark 2 and the EF24-105mmL lens are already very heavy so I do not want a heavy speedlite on top of it. This one is ideal.

This is my first external flash and so far, it's lived up to my expectations. Given the low price, it's definitely an inexpensive way to gain experience taking flash photography. In addition to the attractive price, it also extends and angles allowing for bounce lighting. Buy this flash if you're looking for a lightweight addition to your kit and are unsure about forking out the big bucks.

Really like the simplicity and size of this flash and still it has the feature to tilt upwards.

The 270 EX is great! I bought it to use mainly with my Canon G10 but I can also use it with my Canon 5D. This size is great for easy portability. I find myself using it more than my 430 EX. I wish it could rotate 180 degrees, but that is the trade to obtain the ease of use and portability.
