I bought a refurbished model. it works well for my needs. I love the zoom, the compact size, the different settings are good if I want to play around artistically and the auto is great to shoot on the fly. focus and response time means I don't loose a shot waiting for the camera there's a miniscule recovery time between shots ( i don't have the preview on)video is ok for my day to day stuff. I have this camera to take anywhere put it in a ziplock bag and go out on the water kayaking take pictures and video all in one perfect.

This camera has quite a lot of neat features and does have a nice "compact feel" to it, however I found the color saturation to be unacceptable and returned it. I must have tried every possible combination of settings to get decent colors for several days, all to no avail. Indoor pictures always come out with a yellow-orange hue, regardless of lighting and ISO setting. Being 10MP, the picture quality should have been better than it was also. If you are thinking about this camera, be sure to do a google search for this camera and "sample pictures" first. Make sure you can live with the over saturation of reds and greens, along with the yellow-orange indoor hue. I was majorly disappointed with this camera.

The first camera I received did not work properly, but after returning it, I received the second one within two days of my request. This one is GREAT! The pictures are clear and concise. The camera is easy to operate. I couldn't be happier. The price was excellent as well.
