I really wanted to love this camera. I love Nikon and have owned many Nikon still cameras. I was a Nikon Advanced Systems Specialist for a major camera seller. Trust me when I tell you that this is not a very good camera. The pictures are not sharp if you have even slightly less than perfect light (like on a beach in full sunlight).

When you buy a 10 mp camera, you should be able to make good quality enlargements, but if you are even a little bit picky, you will notice that the edges of things aren't sharp, even at 5x7 without cropping. I was getting MUCH better image quality from a 4 mp Fuji.

This camera has a lot of great features packed into a really small space, but in the end you buy a camera for image quality and this one just doesn't cut it. Hopefully the newer model will fix this, but I'll never find out because I bought another brand.

the pics are great after u take it but when u are taking it, it is grainy.

i would recommend this to ppl who dont mind the screen being grainy, but the pics r great and clear

For starters the software loads on the computer like a dream KISS and they did. We have not really touched all the features this camera supports. My wife grabbed the camera went to a lambing with the grandson and came home with terrific pictures. So for those of you imtimidated by the techno, go for it, very easy to charge the battery and get started.
I have some reading to do before Easter to enable me to use some of the available features with the camera.

I've had this camera for several months & have tried mostly night & indoor shots. I've found the flash takes an eternity & is just too bright. Adjusting the ISO makes no difference. I had better luck adjusting for lighting with my old cannon powershot. I admit there might be some tricks I just don't know about. Please share if you have any.

This is a great camera, very small, nice photos, easy to use, light weight, I love it!
