This is a wonderful camera and very user friendly. It's the second Sony I've had. They're great.

This camera is great! It's fairly small in size but takes amazing photos. The only draw back I have found is that the battery seems to drain even when you aren't using it. I need to charge it for a couple hours before I want to use it. Video mode is great too.

I purchased this camera a year ago to replace the canon that I had lost and, overall, I was not pleased with the camera. I purchased it because I loved the idea of smile detection but that feature was a complete pain and it rarely worked! I now how and infant and his "smile" never registered- occasionally it would register a smile with my older nieces and nephews but RARELY. The picture quality was not as good as my previous Canon even though it had more mega-pixels. In the end, I dropped this camera in water (an accident, I swear) and I have now replaced it. Other reviews really seem to range from 1-5 so I guess it all depends on your expectations- I was disappointed.

so many people on here blast things for being cheap--guess what? If you buy the $150 Sony camera instead of the $350 one expect it to be $200 less effective. It is a fabulous camera for the money--I have had numerous photos published with it--and its predecessor--you have to accept limitations--it isn't made for night/low light or for long range work--other than that, it WILL be fine for you if you just like to have a camera handy, but don't want to spend more money. If you DO want more, go up the price line and you will find what you are looking for.

I think this is a great little camera. A friend of mine owns an older version and did some research for me and recommended this model. The feature she recommended was the rechargeable battery option so I'm glad I opted for this one. It takes great pictures and has tons of features. It's easy to work with and nice and compact. I take it where ever I go because it fits in my purse. I love that it's a subtle pink color and the whole camera has a jewel-like appearance. Very nice little machine.
